Medina Lake
Medina Lake is a reservoir formed from the Medina River. It is located in Bandera and Medina counties. The lake has a surface area of close to 6,000 acres and a maximum depth of 152 feet. Note that the lake's depth can fluctuate up to 40 feet, depending on local rainfall.
Medina Lake is stocked with a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass, crappie, and catfish.
Medina Lake has a variety of access points along its 100 miles of shoreline.
Bandera City Park is a 77-acre park, located along the Medina River in beautiful downtown Bandera. The park allows fishing and swimming, and has picnic areas with bar-b-que pits. An 18-hole disc golf course and spacious pavilions are available for rent.
The park is open daily from 8:00 AM until 30 minutes before sunset. Overnight camping is NOT allowed.

Frontier Times Museum is a museum for the American West, founded in 1933 by author and historian John Marvin Hunter.
The museum includes numerous artifacts and exhibits. Here, you can view Old West relics, American Indian artifacts, and a variety of Western art and antiques.
Exhibits include one dedicated to Amasa Clark, a famous historical figure in the Bandera area, and Jose Rodriguez, a circuit-riding minister. The museum also contains the Texas Heroes Hall of Honor.
